Dust Collection Installation

Hayward was chosen for the mechanical installation on an assist design and build basis. The project required the installation of multiple dust collection, scrap transport and removal systems. The unique application required some of the ductwork to be fabricated of wear-resistant steel. Two Cyclone units were utilized for scrap collection and removal along with a large separator. An incinerator was installed as an anti-pollution device. The dust collection system served as exhaust off the manufacturing machinery inside the plant and was delivered to a centralized collection site for removal. Each duct collector is rated at 32,000 CFM. The project required extensive structural steel reinforcement and a modern control system.
